A warranty tracker app for receipts and coverage dates
A warranty is only worth something if you can prove the purchase and you notice the problem before coverage ends. Both parts fail the same way: the receipt fades in a drawer and the end date is never written down anywhere.
MiRicordi handles both. Take a photo of the receipt when you buy something, set the date coverage ends, and the app files it with the rest of your paperwork. Search brings the purchase back months later, and the alert arrives while the warranty is still valid โ which is often the moment to finally get that appliance looked at.
It works for anything with an end date: appliances, laptops, phones, power tools, furniture, extended plans and service contracts.
MiRicordi is a personal organisation app, not an insurer, a retailer or a claims service. It does not file claims and has no relationship with any manufacturer: it keeps your own receipts and dates in order and reminds you in time.
Two things kill a warranty claim
The first is the receipt. Thermal paper fades, emails get buried, and the box the appliance came in went out with the recycling months ago.
The second is timing. Coverage ends on a date nobody wrote down, so problems are noticed a few weeks too late โ which is a very expensive few weeks.
Both are organisation problems, and both are fixable in about thirty seconds per purchase.
The habit that makes it work
Do it at the moment of purchase, not later. Photograph the receipt while you are still standing in the store or unpacking the box, set the end date, and move on.
What is worth capturing:
- photo of the receipt or the order confirmation
- the date coverage ends
- model and serial number in the note
- where you bought it, in case a claim goes through the retailer
Set the alert before the end, not on it
A reminder on the last day of coverage is almost useless. A reminder three or four weeks earlier gives you time to test the thing properly, contact support and get a repair booked while it is still free.
That advance alert is often what turns a warranty from a piece of paper into actual money saved.
Extended plans and subscriptions renew too
Extended protection plans, service contracts and device insurance renew automatically, usually at a price you did not re-check. Adding the renewal date with a couple of weeks' notice gives you the chance to decide instead of finding out on the statement.

Warranty tracking โ common questions
What should I store for each purchase?
A photo of the receipt, the date coverage ends, and the model or serial number in the note. That covers almost every claim conversation.
How early should the alert be?
Three to four weeks before coverage ends is a good default: enough time to test the product and get a repair started while it is still covered.
Do my photos stay private?
Yes. Attachments are tied to your account only and are never sold or used for ad profiling.
Also useful: document storage, expiry date reminders, renewal reminders.
MiRicordi is an independent personal organisation app. It is not an insurer or a claims service and has no relationship with manufacturers or retailers.
Frequently asked questions
Where are my receipt photos stored?
They are attached to the reminder and tied to your account, so they follow you if you change phone. They are never sold or used for advertising.
Can I get a reminder before an extended plan renews?
Yes. Add the renewal date the same way and choose how early you want to be told, so you can decide before it charges again.
Is MiRicordi available for iPhone?
MiRicordi is currently available for Android only and can be downloaded from Google Play. The iPhone version is on the way.
