An oil change reminder app for your own schedule
The windshield sticker works until it peels, fades or the car goes to a different shop. After that, the honest answer to 'when was the last oil change?' is usually a guess.
MiRicordi replaces the sticker with a reminder you own. Enter the date of the last service, pick the interval your owner's manual or your mechanic recommends, and the app brings the reminder back on schedule. Add the mileage in the note and you also build a simple maintenance history you can look back at.
The same list can hold tire rotation, brake checks, registration renewal, inspection and insurance, so the whole vehicle sits on one screen instead of in separate apps and paper folders.
MiRicordi is a personal reminder and organisation app, not a dealership, garage or automotive service. It does not read your car's data or diagnose anything: it reminds you of the dates and intervals you set.
The sticker is not a system
The little sticker in the corner of the windshield works right up until it does not: it peels, the ink fades, the next shop uses a different one, or the car changes hands.
What is left is a guess — and guessing tends to go one way. Oil changes get stretched, not shortened.
Pick an interval and let it repeat
The right interval comes from your owner's manual and your driving, not from an app. Modern engines with full synthetic oil often go far longer than the old three-month rule, while short trips, towing, heat and stop-and-go traffic pull it the other way.
Once you know your number, MiRicordi keeps it running: set the reminder to repeat every three, six or twelve months and it comes back on its own.
- date of the last change
- the interval you and your mechanic settled on
- the mileage at the time, kept in the note
- the shop you used, so you can compare next time
A simple maintenance history, for free
Because each completed reminder leaves a record with your notes, you end up with a plain history of what was done and when — useful for warranty questions, and useful when you sell the car.
Tire rotation, brake inspection, air filter, registration renewal and the annual inspection can live in the same list, one per vehicle.
A reminder app, not a mechanic
MiRicordi is a personal organisation app. It does not connect to the car, read diagnostics, or recommend service intervals: it reminds you of the dates and intervals you chose.
Oil change reminders — common questions
How often should I change my oil?
Follow the interval in your owner's manual or the one your mechanic recommends — it varies by engine, oil type and how you drive. MiRicordi tracks whichever interval you set.
Can I track mileage instead of dates?
Reminders are date-based. Most drivers set a time interval and record the mileage in the note, then check the odometer when the reminder arrives.
Does it work for more than one vehicle?
Yes. Every car, truck or motorcycle can have its own reminders and its own history.
Also useful: car maintenance reminders, registration renewal reminders, warranty tracking.
MiRicordi is a personal reminder app and is not a garage, dealership or automotive service. Service intervals should follow your manufacturer's guidance.
Frequently asked questions
Can I set the reminder by mileage?
Reminders are date-based, so most drivers set the interval in months and note the mileage inside the reminder. When the alert arrives you can check the odometer and decide.
Can I track more than one car?
Yes. Each vehicle can have its own oil change reminder, interval and notes.
Is MiRicordi available for iPhone?
